Underwater investigations and inspection of water assets using the latest in ROV technology
Detection Services provides underwater investigations and inspection of water assets using the latest in ROV technology.
This new ROV unit is available for use in reservoirs, tanks, culverts, dams, pipes and can be used for determining condition assessment (ultrasonic thickness, sonar profiling, sediment sampling and laser profiling).
The unit features a live feed internal HD camera, a 270-degree field of view and is attached to a 300m tether. It is also capable of moving forwards at 2.5 knots, can submerge to depths of up to 125m and requires a minimum entry diameter of 350mm.
Reservoir inspections are often very difficult to undertake and require man entry and is a high safety and health risk, the deployment of the ROV eliminates these issues and greatly reduces the risk of turbidity.
The ROV can provide invaluable information and recorded CCTV about the reservoir or tanks, wall, floor and support column condition, liner and leakage issues, sediment build up, as well above water line inspections of the roof and roof structure are all completed in one survey.
